Scott Mulhare

CPA

Scott E. Mulhare, CPA, has been a Partner with the firm since its inception in 2010. Mr. Mulhare graduated Magna Cum Laude from Champlain College where he received his B.S. degree in Accounting and Finance. He began his career in 1997 with KPMG LLP in Burlington, Vermont where he gained knowledge in all areas of tax. His “Big 4” experience includes individual, partnership, and corporate taxation. His knowledge in accounting and consulting is broad, with expertise in the areas of trusts, estates, and probate administration. His vast knowledge also includes estate and retirement planning; taxation of non-profit and charitable organizations; and business planning. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice in Connecticut. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Connecticut Society of CPA’s (CSCPA). Mr. Mulhare also serves on the boards of numerous charitable organizations, including The Pratt Nature Center, The Goodrich Foundation, and The Greater New Milford Chamber of Commerce. He resides in Roxbury, CT with his wife Rebecca, and his family.

Cheryl Bakewell

CPA

Cheryl A. Bakewell, CPA, received her BBA in Accounting from Western Connecticut State University, Ancell Honors Program in 1985. Prior to establishing her own professional practice in 1991, Cheryl was an acting tax manager at KPMG, one of the then “big eight” accounting firms, and an international tax manager at Berol Corporation. She is licensed to practice public accounting by the State of Connecticut and is a member of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Her knowledge in accounting, taxation, and consulting is extensive with expertise in individual and business taxation. In addition, Cheryl serves as treasurer of the United Way of Western Connecticut and the John Pettibone Scholarship Fund. She is on the board of trustees for the Regional YMCA of Western Connecticut and is the president of the VNA Foundation. She also serves on the incorporator board of Union Savings Bank and is an active member of NewMilfordBusiness.com, a local networking group. She has two children, Katelyn and Craig. Cheryl resides in New Milford with her husband Geoff.
